HAHA MAG & PARADIGM GALLERY BRING “URBAN GEODES” ARTIST TO PHILLY - WANT YOUR HELP FINDING LOCATIONS!
*BIG THANKS TO CONRAD OF STREETS DEPT FOR TALKING UP OUR NEW PROJECT IN COLLABORATION WITH OUR FRIENDS AT PARADIGM GALLERY!
"In collaboration with the incredibly exciting HAHA MAG x Paradigm Gallery Community Arts Program, LA-based “Urban Geodes” artist Paige Smith (aka A Common Name) will be coming to Philadelphia sometime in the next few weeks to install her beautiful creations in forgotten spaces (like those above) all over the city… And, great news – they want our help finding locations!
Tweet and/or Instagram me (@StreetsDept) using the hashtag #PhillyGeodes, or simply comment below, with your recommend spots for Paige Smith’s AMAZING installations.
So excited for this project… Been a huge fan of it for years, and so glad to see it come to Philly (hell, the East Coast, for that matter) in such a big way!
The phantasmagorical and surreal animal sculptures by Canadian artist Ellen Jewett. Between dream and nightmare, some strange creations born of a symbiosis between organic and mechanical elements, a meeting between fantasy, gothic and steampunk. Some very detailed sculptures in clay on a metal frame.
